Reception Information!

Hey all!

So I thought I would post a few details and possibly helpful information regarding the reception!

Our ceremony and reception are both at the Columbia River Yacht Club, so that makes it super easy for everyone! Its a gated club, but the day of the wedding the gates will be left open for everyone to come and go without any trouble.

For those of you staying at the Red Lion, they offer a shuttle service {within 5 miles, which the CRYC is within this range}, and they offer this complimentary service from 4am through midnight.

This could be really convenient for anyone staying at the hotel, but PLEASE know that if you leave you car at the Club when you leave the reception, you WILL NOT be able to get it on Sunday morning! Once we all leave the reception on Saturday night {after the most AMAZING wedding EVER, by the way} the gates will be CLOSED!

So please, if you are planning on partying, drinking and having a great time, I would suggest taking the shuttle TO the ceremony and again back to the hotel after the reception.

I hope to avoid leaving anyone stranded without access to their car on Sunday!

Also, just for good measure, please don't bring any outside alcohol as the club has threatened to shut our wedding down if they discover any has been brought in! Larry and Linda Wells are graciously hosting a beer and wine open bar, and if you would like Hard A, you can purchase for yourself! So really there is no need for any outside alcohol anyway!

Ok, the boring details are over!

Only 70 days left! So stoked!!

Pick Up, Not Catch Up... x2

Oh my gosh! May 14th... really!? How did this happen!? Where did winter and spring go!? I feel like I say that on every post!

I am going to copy my sis, and "pick up, not catch up" on this blog!! I'm going to pick up from here on out, rather than try to cover all thats happened in the last few months! Granted, she had a baby and has a million reasons she's too busy, but hey! I've been busy too, baby or no baby! :)

So here goes! Some incredibly exciting events lately:
  • My sweet nephew was born February 7th (I know Ive blogged since then, but I STILL have not downloaded photos from that trip! This weekend maybe..??)
  • My best friend in the entire world (tie with my sisters) gave birth to her precious baby boy on Wednesday!
  • Derek and I have only 2 months, 2 weeks and 3 days until our WEDDING!
  • We have continued our marriage counseling which has been an absolute blessing, and awesome learning experience. We have reached such a different level of relationship together, its been so awesome! We love Bob and Robyn! (You will all meet them, he is marrying us!)
  • I received a letter from OHSU stating I was put on the wait list for nursing school again this year... bittersweet. Thankful its a "maybe" but would prefer a "hell yes!"
  • Waiting to receive my letter from PCC Nursing next week - hopefully with a "hell yes!" note inviting me to join nursing school this fall
  • We have been enjoying "forced family fun" with my family, and going BOWLING! Its actually been a blast and we are really enjoying it! We were going every 3 weeks, but recently decided to go every other week. Its a great weeknight event with the fam!
  • Hmmm what else... trying to think...
  • Ive been running with some girls from work each week which I LOVE! Derek and I have been hittin' up Ballys too!
  • Derek and I went to the house in Eagle Crest, just the two of us two weekends ago. Phenomenal weekend... we played cards, cooked dinner, built a huge fire, sat on the back deck, played pool, relaxed and completely and totally enjoyed each other's company. Phenomenal.

I think thats about it! At least thats all I can think of! I know a million more things have been happening, but I am terrible about this blogging thing.

Here we go! I'll pick up from here!

Enjoy your day everyone!

PreMarital Counseling

Derek and I started premarital counseling today! We were both looking forward to it, to gain knowledge and tools to help us make our relationship more positive and successful! We feel that we have a very strong relationship, but there is always room for growth within every couple. My friend Bri recommended our officiant and his wife, Bob and Robin Fossum; he is going to marry us and with that comes 10 weeks of the counseling.

The material they teach from is based off of information derived from studies on thousands of successful marraiges, and the five key things they all had in common. Over the course of our time with them we will discuss communication, conflict resolution, finances, love and respect.

We are very excited to learn and grow together, and to be able to utilize these tools throughout our lifetime commitment of marriage!!!

195 days until I am Mrs. Kelsey Wells!
